We are thrilled to invite you to the West Branch Library in Lake City for the awards reception and opening ceremony of the 17th annual Wally Reichert Memorial Art Show! This year, we’re celebrating the creativity and talent of our local artists from the Art League of North Florida and from Friends of Columbia County Library. Join us for an evening of art, community, and light refreshments on Tuesday, June 11 at 5:30 pm.

This year’s show features an impressive 76 entries across various categories, showcasing the diverse talents of our local artists. You’ll find a stunning array of works in:

  • Painting: From vibrant landscapes to wildlife portraits to surreal imagery, our area painters have brought their visions to life with incredible skill and passion.
  • Drawing: Delicate pastels, detailed pencil sketches, and bold ink illustrations highlight the range of techniques and subjects explored by our drawing artists.
  • Photography: Capturing the beauty of our local area and beyond, the photography entries range from striking black-and-white images to colorful nature shots to whimsical pop art scenes.
  • Creative Arts/Mixed Media: This category includes an exciting mix of materials and techniques, resulting in pieces that push the boundaries of traditional art forms. From pottery and handmade baskets to digital art and jewelry, there’s something here for every art lover.

Each piece in the show reflects the personal style and creativity of its creator, making this exhibition a true celebration of our community’s artistic spirit. We look forward to seeing you! This summer art show is free and open to the public throughout the month, providing ample opportunity to immerse yourself in the local art scene.

While you’re here, don’t forget to vote for your favorite piece in the Patron’s Choice category – your vote will help recognize the hard work and talent of our artists.
