- Featured Artist: Larry Elshoff (June 2026)
Join us at the Gallery on Friday, June 5th, from 5:30 PM to 7:30 PM for a special First Friday opening reception honoring our summer Featured Artist, Larry Elshoff.
The evening will be a celebration of a remarkable lifetime dedicated to the arts. For many years, Larry inspired our local community and shaped future creatives as a beloved college art teacher. He is an award-winning artist whose talents span an incredible variety of styles and forms—ranging from photography and sculpture to vibrant pop art, intricate miniature models, and beyond. Because his creative footprint is so vast, this exhibit promises a dynamic look at a true master of multi-medium storytelling.
This exhibition is generously sponsored by the Foundation for Florida Gateway College

We invite all of Larry’s former students, colleagues, friends, and art enthusiasts to come together to honor his career and impact. It’s a wonderful opportunity to reconnect, share memories, and view a unique collection of work. Do you have some of his work you’d like to include in the show? Give our Curator a call to talk about it.

Have an idea for a Feature?
Our Featured Exhibition/Visiting Artist program aims to bring attention to outside Artists and their work and introduce them to our community. These exhibits are on display for a set amount of time (typically 1 month-6 weeks) and may feature work available for purchase to collectors and art lovers for the duration. May also include meet-and-greet sessions with the artist, book signings for authors, workshops for teaching artists, lectures and panel discussions, etc.
To be considered:
- Visiting Artists must have an active following and verifiable sale or gallery exhibition history (awards and history of continued art education are a bonus.)
- Visiting Artist (or exhibition coordinator) must live within reasonable driving distance of the Gallery for art drop-off/pick up and various promotional events related to the exhibit
- Visiting Artist (or exhibition coordinator) will promote the exhibit and related events on social channels and website to encourage their collectors and fans to attend the exhibition and buy their work
- (optional) Visiting Artist is able to teach a workshop or provide a lecture/demo in conjunction with their Feature
We host various other events at the Gallery throughout the year, so we only host a few Visiting Artists annually. If you meet the criteria above and wish to be considered for this program, or if you have an idea for an exhibition that isn’t necessarily your work, please complete and submit the application form below.
