Sheila Carr

Sheila has acted as our Curator here at the Gallery since January 2022, and in addition to her work as our “fearless leader” she also dabbles in many mediums and is an amateur composer of chamber music. No matter what she’s doing, she is almost always creating something. Over the course of her career, she has worked as a graphic designer, photographer, copyeditor, web developer, and social media manager. In her copious free time, she enjoys reading, playing Scrabble, cooking, writing, coding (she is the current web developer for our website), LotR and Star Trek marathons, and hanging out with her chickens, cats, dog, and husband (though not necessarily in that order.)

Sheila’s passion for art intersects her passion for people and community engagement here at the Gallery. Her diverse creative background supports her knowledge and experience in many areas, which are frequently called upon in her work as our Curator. Sheila teaches digital painting, cyanotype, stamp carving, and various craft classes at the Gallery.
