We are blessed to have a number of amazing volunteers who work tirelessly alongside our Artists and Crafters to keep the Gallery operating at its best, sharing their time and expertise in support of our mission—helping the arts thrive and grow in our community. Like many non-profits, we run on volunteer power—whether it’s food preparation or staging windows, fixing a leaky faucet or installing a new sound system—our volunteers get the jobs done that need doing and we are so grateful for their enthusiasm and support. We literally could not keep doing what we do without them!
Volunteering is a great way to get involved in the arts and make a difference in the lives of people in your community. Whether you’re an artist, an enthusiast, or just looking to give back and enjoy some social interaction, there are many ways you can contribute your skills and talents to our organization. Here’s what we need right now:
- Youth Art League Facilitators — If you want to help with our YAL program but don’t feel up to teaching, you can still join the team and help set up and break down for class, as well as assist during class with things like running water to students, cleaning brushes, helping clean up spills, and so on. Many hands make the work light.
- Ebay store assistant — Assist in photographing items for listings and shipping out Ebay orders. (Experience with listing would be a plus but is not a requirement. )
- Art Around Town assistant— assist our Curator with swapping out and transporting art for our AArT program. This is a quarterly task that requires lifting up to 20 pounds and may require driving short distances and/or using a short ladder or step stool.
- Grant Writer/Fundraising — If you’re a retired grant writer or fundraising exec, we can always use help in this area. Get in touch to join the team!
