We wrapped up the year with a great turnout at Monday’s Member Meeting/Luncheon—47 in attendance! Fifth Generation Farms provided a delicious mini Thanksgiving-style meal, complete with fixings and a we celebrated with a special cake dessert in honor of Kathy O’s birthday.
Our guest speaker was Michelle Moore, Columbia County Tourist Development Marketing Coordinator, who shared highlights of things to do and see right here in Columbia County—reminding us just how much our area has to offer.
During the luncheon, we announced the winners of our 3rd Annual Precious Pets Portrait Contest:
- 1st Place: John Stokes — “Roscoe and Tyler” with 672 votes
- 2nd Place: MJ Stoeker — “Merry Marzen Mayhem” with 474 votes
- 3rd Place: Ron Baughn — “Doodles” with 198 votes
- 4th Place: Laura Hunter-Null — “Bath Time for Bruiser” with 108 votes
- 5th Place: Dolly Robinson – “Annie Tim” with 103 votes
This year’s contest raised $1,952, with half of the top three vote totals benefiting the Lake City Humane Society—a total of $742 (we’ll round it up to $750.) THANK YOU so much to everyone who entered, participated, voted, and helped make this fundraiser such a success! Voting is closed but you can still view all of this year’s entries HERE.
This was our final luncheon of the year. We’ll pick things back up in January on the last Monday of the month as usual. Don’t forget—our annual ALNF Christmas Party will be held at Olive Garden on Monday, December 16th at 6:00 pm.
