- Drop-off entries: Saturday, January 3
- Exhibit dates: January 5-30
- Opening/awards reception: Friday, January 9 @ 5:30 pm
- Pick-up entries: Saturday, January 31
The Art League of North Florida hosts an annual art show & competition at the Gallery at the start of each year. To enter the show, you must be a current member in good standing of ALNF and your work must meet the show’s entry requirements. There is no theme but all entries must be family-friendly.
Entry requirements
- Must be a current member of the Art League of North Florida (adults 18+)
- Two (2) entries per person
- 36″ size limit, 15 pounds weight limit
- 2D entries must be framed and wired for hanging; or gallery wrapped and/or painted around the edges if on canvas.
- 3D entries that are free-standing must be able to stand alone without assistance.
- Ineligible for entry: AI-generated artwork (you may be asked to verify your process if questions arise); kits and mass-produced prints; artwork created wholly or in part by another artist; artwork based on another artist’s photo or original work (this includes artwork made in class); artwork featuring subject matter unsuited to a family-friendly audience; artwork that is not properly prepared for display (unwired if hanging, wobbly or dangerous if free-standing, etc.)
- Categories:
- Painting – oil, acrylic, watercolor, watercolor pencils (if water is used), mixed painting media
- Drawing – graphite, charcoal, pastels, colored pencils, watercolor pencils (if no water is used), pen, ink, mixed drawing media
- Photography – digital, film, cyanotype, other photographic processes
- NOTE: Photographs that are altered (excl. industry-accepted corrections and adjustments) using Photoshop or other similar means must be entered in the 2D media/digital art category
- 2D media (wall-hung) – digital art/painting, fabric art, printmaking, collage, other mixed 2D media
- 3D media (free-standing) – clay/pottery, woodworking, sculpture, hand-crafted jewelry, metalcraft, other mixed 3D media
- NO early drop-off. If you can’t make the drop-off date, please make arrangements with a friend or family member to bring your entry to the Gallery. We do not have storage space for entries dropped off early.
- Artist must have w9 on file at time of entry if selling artwork. Gallery retains 30% of all sales made from the show.
