The Art League of North Florida held its first Ornament Decorating Contest this holiday season, inviting both Youth Art League and adult members to take part in a fun and festive new tradition. Each participant received a blank ornament to transform into something unique — from hand-painted scenes to sculpted details and creative mixed-media designs. The variety and imagination on display made the Gallery sparkle even brighter for the holidays.
Our judges picked their winners in Youth and Adult categories, with Fran Thompson taking top prize for “Most Inventive” with her showman made from 2 ornament blanks. We hoep this first contest will set the stage for what will become a much-loved annual holiday event, bringing together artists of all ages to celebrate creativity and the season in true Art League fashion.
