We had a wonderful time at our recent ALNF meeting and luncheon at the Gallery. It was a great day of community, good food, and meaningful conversation. Attendees gathered to approve Board nominations, and we’re pleased to share that all current Board members will continue in their roles for the coming term. It’s always encouraging to see such strong support and engagement from our community.
Luncheon attendees enjoyed delicious pizza from Our Place and sweet treats courtesy of Kathy O.
Our speakers for the day were Linda and Bill Poplin, longtime volunteers with Community Concerts of Lake City. Community Concerts has been bringing a mix of high-quality, affordable performances to the area for decades, offering live music and entertainment that enriches our local arts scene. Linda and Bill also highlighted the Friends of Music concert series — a free, community-focused program that invites people of all ages to enjoy live music performances and cultivate a deeper appreciation for the arts.
Their presentation reminded us of the vital role music and performance plays in building connections and strengthening the cultural fabric of our region. We’re grateful to them for sharing their passion, history, and insights with our group. Thanks to everyone who joined us and to those who help make days like this possible through fellowship, volunteering, and support of the arts. We look forward to seeing you at the next meeting!
