Today, October 31st, marks a monumental moment for the Art League of North Florida and the Gateway Art Gallery—as of 2 pm today, we officially closed on a mortgage to buy our building in downtown Lake City! This is more than a simple real estate transaction—it’s the realization of a dream that has been years in the making. From countless planning sessions to heartfelt fundraising efforts, this achievement is a testament to the unwavering commitment of everyone involved with the Art League since its inception.
This milestone would not have been possible without the incredible support, vision, and passion of our Board Members, Artists, Sponsors, Donors, Supporters, Volunteers, and Fans. Every donation, every hour volunteered, and every ounce of encouragement has helped bring us to this point. We are deeply grateful to each of you for your role in making this dream a reality! Owning our building opens exciting new doors for the future of our organization, empowering us to expand our programs and deepen our involvement in the community. We are now better equipped than ever to offer enriching arts experiences, educational opportunities, and community outreach initiatives. We are planning an event at the Gallery to celebrate, so stay tuned for more information about that in November.
