We are deeply saddened by the January 2024 loss of Betsy Tyler, a treasured member of our community and beloved friend to many. With over 35 years of experience helping customers find their perfect property, Betsy was not only a pillar in the real estate world but also a vibrant artist and dedicated community leader.
A longtime member of the Art League of North Florida, Betsy was an accomplished watercolor artist whose work captured the beauty and essence of the region she loved. Her passion for art was matched by her dedication to her community. She played a vital role in the establishment of our community’s historical museum, served on the Lake City Planning and Zoning Board, and held the position of President of the North Florida Multiple Listing Board multiple times. In recognition of her excellence, she was awarded Realtor of the Year in 1993 and named “Best of the Best” by Columbia County in 2003.
Her legacy at Hallmark Real Estate, where she was a founding Broker/Owner, will forever be cherished by her colleagues and the countless lives she touched. She leaves behind a legacy of kindness, service, and creativity that will not soon be forgotten.
