We had a super time at our monthly luncheon in August! Artist Shirley Zecher was our presenter [watch a short video here] and she gave a fascinating demonstration on how to paint water — everything from dew drops on roses to ocean spray, waterfalls, moving water, reflections, and more.
Lunch was provided by Brittany’s Cupcake Shoppe, and the afternoon included plenty of fun extras. The Audience Favorite award from our joint exhibit with the Branford Camera Club was announced, with Edwin McCook of Live Oak taking the prize for “Falling Creek Falls.” We also celebrated Bonnie Ragland as the winner of the raffle basket. In all, 51 art lovers attended the event — a wonderful afternoon of art, food, and community. Thank you to all who participated. We look forward to seeing you again next month!
