The Gateway Art Gallery was the dream of the Art League of North Florida seven years ago. First opening on south Main Street in a smaller building, the interest in the Gallery grew so that it had to be moved to a much larger space in downtown Lake City. You’ll now find it on the west side of the Court House Square in historic downtown Lake City.
The Youth Art League was a natural extension. It was created to offer fine art lessons to youths 10 – 18. With a $15 yearly membership fee, the youths receive a monthly lesson by award-winning north Florida artists and free entry into exhibits and art contests. Clay Electric provides a yearly grant to support the program.
